HOTSHOT  FITNESS

Physical Fitness Is A Hotshot Life Style
The Del Rosa Hotshots physical fitness program is tailored to meet the demands of an inter-agency hotshot crew. Full gear hikes of various lengths and topography, Runs varying in distance and slope percentage, as well as a large variety of muscular endurance and anaerobic exercises, all make up the corps of our physical fitness program. Our Career oriented employees maintain their physical fitness year round in various ways while keeping in mind the high level of endurance and non-bulk building workout styles that prepare us for the long summers of labor intensive work.
Beyond physical fitness, it is absolutely vital for employee's to maintain a healthy level of nutrition and hydration to be able to keep up with the physical demands throughout the season. The Del Rosa Hotshots encourage all potential candidates to follow a fitness regiment, which will lead them to be successful in the IHC program. Below are some minimal standards and links to help guide you in the right direction.
