Hiring for the United States Forest Service is all done through USA Jobs. Applicants must create an account and apply in USA Jobs, in order to be considered for employment. USA Jobs helps create a profile and allows for applicants to attach/create any resume's and upload other important documents to their profile.
For seasonal/temporary employment, job announcements come out early in the year (January-February), with a short window to apply. However, there is occasional hiring during the season. For the Del Rosa Hotshots, our hiring location is "Lytle Creek".

Beyond USA Jobs, we highly encourage those interested in becoming a Del Rosa Hotshot to make direct contact with the captains by phone, email, and if possible in-person, which can be very beneficial. Topics that are discussed are; physical fitness, diet, positive mental attitudes, attributes, and the minimum requirements needed to meet the national standards of the IHC program.
Please call our main office to arrange a meet and greet with one of our overhead.
